COVID guidelines

The Counselling Room is based in a health and social care setting. Please read these carefully before attending.

All indoor sessions MUST have a signed risk assessment before they can take place

The Counselling Room is based within a building that helps support vulnerable children and adults who may have low immune systems or life limiting illnesses, so it is vital that both you and Kim-Leng are proactive in terms of keeping yourself and everyone else safe.

In order to keep everyone safe and to reduce risk, measures have been put in place at the Counselling Room. Please comply by these measures to ensure a smooth running of both the counselling service and the organisations using the building.

Online Class
Feeling Unwell or Self-Isolating?

Please pay attention to the following:

If you are testing positive do not attend any face to face sessions at the office or outdoors and use online sessions instead, or reschedule the appointment.

If you are feeling unwell but testing negative, please contact Kim-Leng as an outdoor or online alternative may be preferred.

Kim-Leng is double vaccinated and takes flow tests on a weekly basis and will contact you via Text or Email if she needs to self-isolate or if she tests positive to arrange for an online session instead.

Social Distancing

There are currently no social distancing restrictions in place in the building, however please respect that other people in the building may prefer to socially distance.

A reduced service to use the Counselling Room is designed to stop the risk of spreading infection. This means counselling sessions in the room must be booked and prearranged through Kim-Leng and not via this website.

Waiting

You are welcome to wait either outside the building or at reception.

Please be aware of any individuals waiting in reception and try to keep socially distanced if possible.

You do not need to have to wear a mask unless you are feeling unwell and/or are coughing or sneezing.

Sanitisation

On arrival and depature, please use the hand-sanitiser at the reception desk. There is also sanitiser in the counselling room and along corridors.

All touch-points are regularly sprayed with anti-bacterial spray. You are welcome to bring your own gloves if you are worried about touching handles or doors, etc.

Toilets are open and frequently sanitised, you are welcome to use them both upstairs and downstairs.

It is recommended that you bring a notepad and a pen, as well as your own water bottle, however Kim-Leng is able to share stationary with you (which is sanitised) and has a spare clean mug should you need to use it.
