The type of personal information we collect

  • The website itself also collects data about visitor information through the use of cookies, this may also take place using third party apps via such as Google Analytics.

Personal information is any information that can be used to identify a living person, such as an email address, mobile number, name, address, financial information, or website data stats.

Personal information is also collected via emails where you may have shared that information, forms such as an Initial Assessment, Client Risk Assessment and any other risk assessment or documentation and notes used.

How we get the personal information and why we have it

Most of the personal information we process is provided to us directly by you for one of the following reasons:

  • You've sent a message via the online messaging service or chat box.

  • You've booked yourself in for a counselling session or initial assessment

  • You've filled out the contact form on this website and sent it

  • You've spoken to Kim-Leng on the phone, face to face, sent her an email or filled out a form and sent it to her.

  • You've joined the website membership in doing so via the platform or mobile app.

Kim-Leng uses the information that you have given her in order to make bookings or referrals, or to contact you to discuss your booking or enquires. Kim-Leng will not share this information with anyone unless for safeguarding reasons or as a request by law.

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the lawful bases we rely on for processing this information are:

  • Your consent. You are able to remove your consent at any time. You can do this by contacting

  • Kim-Leng Hills has a contractual obligation (such as your counselling contract).

Kim-Leng Hills collects and holds your information for 5 years after your counselling contract has been terminated subject to her insurance provider.

Your information is not passed on to any third parties unless it is a requirement to do so by law, such as safeguarding concerns or a request by the Police or Courts.

How we store your personal information

This company is hosted on the platform. provides us with the online platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you. Your data may be stored through’s data storage, databases and the general applications. They store your data on secure servers behind a firewall. 

Kim-Leng Hills stores your information in a paper format filing system and a secure digital filing system which is backed-up. This is kept for up to 5 years after your counselling contract is terminated subject to her insurance.

Your right to rectification - You have the right to ask us to rectify personal information you think is inaccurate. You also have the right to ask us to complete information you think is incomplete.

Your right to restriction of processing - You have the right to ask us to restrict the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances

Your right to data portability - You have the right to ask that we transfer the personal information you gave us to another organisation, or to you, in certain circumstances.

You are not required to pay any charge for exercising your rights. If you make a request, we have one month to respond to you.
